A Difference for Good Health

Cinnamon is considered an immortal spice, probably because of the wide use of its medicinal properties. Cinnamon is found in a great number of pharmaceuticals preparations. Cinnamon is found to reduce blood sugar in diabetics especially in Type II diabetes, improves cholestrol LDL - cholestrol and triglyceride levels. As a warming spice it is used to treat colds, influenza, and inflammation of joints. The carminitive agent in cinnamon relieves acidity and therefore used as an age old remedy for flatulence, diarrhoea, nausea and gastroenteritis. Cinnamon natural oil is antispasmodic and antimicrobial in nature and thus effective against viral, fungal and bacterial infections and has traditionally been used to treat toothache and bad breath.

Usage: Cinnamon is used extensively in bakery, Asian foods, flavored tea and medicine. It is very widely used spice in Asia for long period of time for it's medicinal properties.

Warning: In many supermarkets in the United States, products labelled as cinnamon may often be cassia. Due to the presence of a moderately toxic component called coumarin, European health agencies have recently warned against consuming high amounts of cassia.Coumarin is known to cause liver and kidney damage in high concentrations. True Ceylon cinnamon has negligible amounts of Coumarin.

"When I was a kid I loved Cinnamon. My mom got it all the time for me. I stopped using it for some time. I wanted some so I got a bottle at the store but it did not taste good at all. So I went on line to see why.It was cassia cinnamon, not ceylon cinnamon. So I found (ORGANIC CEYLON CINNAMON) at Indus Organics, Inc. It smells and tastes better then any thing I have had. It,s the BEST cinnamon Thanks"
